Dubai is taking another step toward the future of urban mobility with ongoing construction of the highly anticipated Dubai Metro Blue Line. To facilitate this landmark infrastructure project, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has temporarily closed the footbridge connecting the multi-storey car park to Centrepoint Metro Station.
To ensure passenger convenience, a secure temporary walkway has been introduced on Level G, with clear directional signage guiding commuters to the Red Line entrance. Residents and visitors are encouraged to allow extra travel time while construction progresses.
The 30-kilometre Dubai Metro Blue Line will feature 14 stations, including elevated, underground, and interchange stations, creating faster and more efficient connections across key residential and commercial areas. Scheduled to open on September 9, 2029, the AED 20.5 billion project represents one of Dubai’s largest public transport investments, reinforcing the city’s vision of a smarter, more sustainable, and better-connected future.
